Yeah, I’m digging this build. It would be nice to see a photo of it with less editing done to it to get an idea of how it really looks in person. I’m sure it still looks awesome, but I definitely get what you’re saying.

Not a worry, Andrew! I knew it was a matter of preference, not hate. Hence my relation if it and totally getting where you were coming from. I’m just glad to have a home that fits me finally!

Yeah for sure build to how you want always! I’m not knocking how you built it. just saying I’ve never had a problem with hydraulic re bleeding and such. But with cable disc brakes one had to work on a bunch of chases and quite a few syndyts. I didn’t mean to say I hate it on your bike or that it takes away from it. I meant I don’t like the way they work. Sorry.

So honestly, I’m not a fan of hydraulic outside of mountain bikes. They’re just too on/off and this felt like it had far better modulation and range of pressure than the hydraulic equivalent. That and this bike will probably fly for some competitions, and I like the simplicity of being able to repair it quickly and effectively with a new line versus a rebleed and more when I have 2-4 other bikes to maintain for my kiddos.

But hey, that’s why we can build it how we want, but that’s at least why I built this rig the way I did.

They are fun to work on and you can stop on a dime lol. Almost threw myself off first time I hit the brakes hard in a turn
