Aluminum can look pretty show chrome-ish when it’s polished. No need for chrome plating. But yes chrome plating is definitely not good for the environment. Also, the number of chrome plating facilities has been greatly reduced over the years. Plating aluminium is a fool’s errand in many cases as it’s tougher to get it to stick. I just wish they would offer a 48 hole option for those of us who love the ol’ 48 spoke wheels from back in the day…

Chrome is getting hard to come by. I was gonna say that’s a bit pricey but for a pair I suppose it’s not too terrible. Carbon race rims are that olpr more for 1 right now. And the odyssey race rim is 100 by itself too.
