That's cool! excited to see them.. my up comers are a cruiser and class race bike. I just sold one off and thought I was thinking the herd a bit then before I even dropped off the one I sold I got a notification about my offer being accepted for the other. Dang it.....I love riding every chance I get with my son but I love building bikes even more. But what I don't like is looking over and seeing someone on the exact same bike as me. So I make sure it's customized. With that Freddy bike even if someone gets a Lairdframe it will never be the same as mine.

Geez you BOTD folks are bringing the heat! I may need to start painting my bikes again too lol it’s been over 20 years since I put a coat on one, but the peer pressure is real around here and I’m getting weak. I have a couple projects hanging out there too one obscure style cruiser and one pure style racer, but both are coming to the big BOTD show when they’re done!

I have two bikes with 39s but it was more happenstance versus a must have. I saw them and grabbed them and no complaints except for high speed cranking- not enough bite. The other thing I’ve had issues with is the chain drag on the rear chain stay with 39s. I love my 44s but see them less and less anymore it seems but things evolve and change. I look forward to seeing the build bro.

I just bought an s&m mad dog that takes a 39 tooth up front at most. So I'll get to play with that gear ratio and figure out what I want on the rear. I've never built and 20 inch bike with that size sprocket. So this will be a first for me . I'm kinda excited/nervous at the same time. But I like building bikes with stuff I've never used before. My first race bike after not building anything but mid school bikes was a huge learning curve. Press fit bb, tapered headset, and hydraulic disc brakes. Was fun as could be

Bro, I never gave it a second thought in life. I was never a small sprocket dude and never understood the concept until I put this bike together and was like….dang did I over tighten the hub or the crank or what???? Then I did my pmcs on the bike and was like aha that’s what them dark side sprockets are for. I’m still not joining them though. Still learning as I go halfway through life. Thats BMX. All jokes aside once you get rolling the response and high speed is way easier to maintain in this gearing setup. Its top end is stupid responsive but the bottom end is slow motion. Not bad for a cruiser but do not place bets on getting out the gate quickest because this ain’t the combo for that
