This is a really cool bike, rare and old-school and a yard sale find I wish I could find one like this. The color on the frame is immaculate. It’s crazy to see what they look like in 1980 compared to today. Cool find and cool submission. I have a soft spot for Schwinn. 🏁🇺🇸

Dude, that is wild…… I remember the time when we could write info like that without worrying about someone taking over your life. Haha how things have changed. Epic find my friend. Not quite as good but I found a bike once , rusting away on the side of a house. I knew exactly what it was from the only sticker that was still on it. The little 4130 sticker at the bottom of the seat tube told me it was a CW zx. $20 and it was mine. It cleaned up beautifully after a OA bath but it as no where near as beautiful as yours. You really did find a gem.

Thanks for kind words, yeah when I saw this I knew I had to have it. They were asking $15 !!! I said here’s $40 I told them what it was, they just moved into the house and found it in the garage, and just wanted it gone. As I was leaving they said here’s another box of parts ( it was all the original take off parts!) on a side note there was a SS# engraved in the frame, I put it out on my Schwinn/BMX FB pages but no hits. I was trying to original owner who was most likely from NJ

GOOD GAWD‼️ for the love of BMX, this is beautiful…….. 1st, congratulations on such a stellar find. This was incredibly cared for or immediately forgotten about and I’m going with cared for because I can’t see forgetting about this bike as a kid in any life. I love that kickstand delete boss which provides a gusset once the stand is removed, always thinking hahaha. Yeah man, the forks are so rad, I don’t even think they were called bladed forks back then but I hope I’m wrong. I think Ashtabula made Schwinn’s forks but Schwinn made so much of their own stuff it’s hard to say hahaha. Beautiful bike and a real treat to see. Also – how sick is it that someone had the rad intuition to use exercise wheel covers on their BMX bike ……. That’s what it is all about baby , I love it. I was also the kind of kid who put stickers on my bike because they would make me go faster……….. now I know what your saying, they don’t make you go faster (do they)? – AND NO they don’t………and I knew that but I thought, just in case. Love the bike Lou.
