I came back to this remembering it from before and wanted to check it out again. I was just going through old videos of bike art and paint jobs (the custom stuff) and came across a couple with this style of art as it’s livery or color way (same thing). I’m wanting to do something to an existing bike I have because I’m in no mood to get the fever of a new build hahaha, I just want to update one of my oldies. Anyway I was thinking of getting a friend to do his version of this collage style on the seat & chain stays in a color over white and either fade into that color solid on up to the head tube OR instead of fading, just stop the art and immediately start the color. The same way Redline did with their bikes with the chrome stays back in the day. I think this looks rad. Maaaan - there are some seriously talented artists out there that lay down some beautiful work on bikes these days and I mean consistently. This fella that goes by the name ETOE is stupid good and shows you how to get quality results if you want to DIY it and use spray cans without it looking rattle canned or spray bombed.

Oh my gosh, if I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times……(I think I said that incorrectly) hahaha…. Okay, back to my trying to say something, where was I…. Million times, Supercross frames look like they are blasting past you while stationary. There carbon frames are no different, in fact they always have and here is one from 12 years ago that looks like it was made today with the way the BB junction is beefed up, talk about being ahead of the curve. Even then and long before Supercross has produced frames that simply look fast and I think that’s one of if not the design characteristics I like about Supercross. It’s always been there.

With all the color options Supercross offers on their rims it would be hard not to find one I liked but I also like the different weaving that I’ve seen on some carbon rims. Maaaaaan…. I would love to build my ultimate wheel set because they would definitely have these rims.

I get down with all disciplines of cycling particularly when it comes to design. I could talk and look at this stuff all day long and forget about time. I’m looking at this article some 12 years after it was posted and it still showcases a frame design that is extremely forward thinking. I think that is the fun part for me when thinking about design. It’s only limited by one’s imagination and the challenges are when the material science either hasn’t caught up or doesn’t exist yet so then that has to be developed before the original design can move forward, I love it. Kind of like the clear carbon fiber that AK & I have been diligently working on and are planning to release the lightest, fastest most super duper BMX racing bike you’ll never see coming…… or going for that matter.

Yeah, these are tight. Nothing crazy or goofy and looks like it belongs on a child's foot, just a fresh pair of kicks. I’m really digging the gum sole and the reinforced uppers. Its right in what I like to call (the happy zone and I suppose Goldilocks zone would work too), not so thin it looks like your foot is wrapped in tape and not so big it looks like you’re wearing pillows on your feet…..no, these are like Goldilocks’ porridge,,,,, Just Right!!!!! hahaha. Yeah - these are fresh all day

This whole thing is really rad. I mean, can you imagine being or rather your likeness being made into a toy figure for doing something you just loved doing. That’s a wild thought and a very cool feeling I bet. The other side of this rad coin is Poor Boy Steev, what a rad concept and could the execution of these brick toys (and all of the other stuff they make). I think it is such a cool thing on several fronts and I gotta give PBS a Kangol nod.
