An Automotive Design Podcast Went Full BMX And It Was Awesome!

Steve Strope Talks BMX

Steve Strope owner of automotive customization shop, Pure Vision Design talks about the BMX roots of his and A Lot of customizers. Steve sat down with the Magna Flow podcast and gave props to his BMX background influencing his car customizations. He said BMX was the gateway drug to hot-rodding. I saw this reel on Facebook and had to check out the whole video.

Steve goes in deep with his love for BMX. He gave props to some legendary BMXers like Bob Haro, Tim Judge and Gary Turner. The host also talked about their love for BMX. It’s a really good interview about BMX. The crazy part is this was supposed to be an interview about car customization and the first half the interview was all about BMX!! I love it!! Watch it all the way through because he mentions BMX even after they move on to other topics lol!

In this episode of The MF Show, Rich Waitas and Jerry Zaiden sit down with Steve Strope, the master builder behind Pure Vision and one of the most respected craftsmen in the world of custom cars. For more than two decades, Steve has set the benchmark for high-end, detail-driven builds that blend design, engineering, and storytelling into one-off machines that stand out everywhere, from SEMA to the pages of major automotive magazines. Steve talks through his early influences, the path that led him to start Pure Vision, and the philosophy behind his approach to building cars: no shortcuts, no compromises, and a relentless focus on design cohesion. He shares stories from some of his most well-known projects, how he works with clients to develop a vision, and why certain builds take years to complete. The conversation goes deep into craftsmanship, design discipline, and the evolving expectations of automotive enthusiasts. ~MagnaFlow
