After a month-long hiatus, we’re back with more Bike Of The Day treats! This time it’s a 2026 Josh Ultimate carbon expert XL BMX race bike submitted by Berry Heijnen. Inspiration For The Build:
Old-School Soul. Modern Technology. Built for Kaine.
The inspiration behind Kaine Heijnen’s JOSH Ultimate Carbon was to combine the golden era of BMX with the latest race technology. We wanted to create something unique: a lightweight race bike with a modern carbon platform, premium titanium components and a touch of authentic BMX history.
Finished in a custom Blue Marble paint job, the JOSH Ultimate Carbon Expert XL is built around performance, attention to detail and individuality. From the Exile carbon wheels and SD-X Sniper EVO hubs to the Beringer titanium cranks and stem, every component was carefully selected to create a clean, high-end build.
One of the most special details is the set of old-school Crupi pedals. They represent the heritage of BMX and give the bike a personal touch that connects the past with the present.
Weighing just over 7 kg fully built, this bike combines lightweight engineering with race-ready performance, including a Shimano XTR disc brake.
A big thank you to JOSH BMX for the Ultimate Carbon frame and technology, Flow BMX in Dedemsvaart for building the bike, Turbotubes for the Ultra Light inner tubes, and Bike Protector in Enter for protecting the custom finish with PPF.
