KHE is dropping their first 20in BMX bike that’s supposed to be geared towards pump tracks. It’s called the Black Jack AL and it has some unique features that make it stand out from other bike in its price range.

First off, this bike comes with frond and rear disc brakes. Front and rear disc brakes are something you never see on a 20in BMX bike. Not even the flatland freestyle bike have front and rear disc brakes. Welp it definitely explains why they call it the Black Jack AL “Disc”. The only other 20in BMX bike that I know that has front and rear disc brakes is the We The People Swamp Master and that’s a full sus DH BMX bike.

Speaking of brakes, I really like KHS’s patented Affix rotor braking system. This innovative makes the whole rear braking system internal so no need for a gyro or running two cables to split and rejoin after the headset. It’s a pretty dope system.
We have installed the rotor completely internally. No split or duplicate cables and a reduction to just three screws in total, while retaining all the benefits of both the cable and the traditional rotor. Instead of splitting the cable in two and rejoining it, we chose the direct route through the steering tube. We found that there was enough space between the steerer tube and the steering tube to allow two small washers to rotate without external or internal friction. Starting from the brake lever, the upper cable goes directly into the steering tube and has a bridge at its end that holds and locks the lower part of the rotor. Above it is the upper part of the rotor, which is connected to the lower cable of the system that ends at the rear brakes. Due to the low forces acting on both the steerer tube and the steering tube, it is possible to cut vertical slots that allow a neat cable routing. ~KHEBikes

Pump track ready. Disc brake equipped. Ultra light. Our new BLACK JACK AL DISC brings serious spec into the entry-level pump track game. Built around a superlight aluminum frame and equipped with front + rear disc brakes, this is one of the most capable and controlled setups at this price point. With our patented KHE Affix rotor, you’ve got full barspin freedom. The 165mm forged alloy crank and 38T chainring deliver clean power, while the sealed disc hubs are peg-ready and built to take hits. ~KHEBikes

So this bike has a little BMX race and a lil BMX freestyle features for riders who like a more multi purpose BMX bike. Guess we’ll find out on July 14th what the geometry is but I doubt they’ll have them in longer top tube sizes. I doubt it’ll be any bigger than a 21in top tube but since it’s supposed to be “Pump Track Ready”, hopefully it’ll be a little longer than that. Let me know what you think in the comments.
