A super long DK Zenith XXXX is today’s Bike Of The Day! It was submitted by Joey Fields and he did a great job of putting this one together! This frame was actually Josh Smith’s old frame and it’s said to be one of the only 22.5tt Dk Zenith’s in the states. Pretty cool! I wanted to get back into BMX racing after being gone for 22 years and I saw the frame on marketplace. It belonged to Josh Smith, I traded him a Subrosa Rose complete for it and some extras. I’ve only raced six local races this year and have two wins with this bike. It’s scary fast and twitchy, I’ve had three pretty good wrecks on it, the last being a broken collarbone just recently. Josh Smith informed that this is one of two black Zenith XXXX frames that he knows of in the United States, the rest went overseas.
I saw the frame on marketplace and asked the guy if he’d trade a Complete Subrosa Rose for the frame. It turned out to be former DK team manager and vet pro Josh Smith. He agreed to the trade and hooked me up with some extras for the build. I decided I had to start racing again after a 22 year absence from the sport. I’ve only raced six local races this year but already have two wins (one counts). This bike is and has been raced and it shows. I’ve wrecked hard on it three times, the last being a broken collarbone. I’m still healing but I’ll be back for Dayton Indoor where I cut my teeth racing Jeff Upshaw. ~Joey Fields
