Another Huffy BMX treat is featured as today’s Bike Of The Day! This is a 2026 Huffy HX Pro BMX racing cruiser. It’s Huffy’s entry level BMX racing cruiser complete with a few upgrades to make it look and ride a little better. I love the color scheme on this bad boy. Very nice looking for an entry level BMX race bike. This build is having me want to get one and do a bike review. Big shout out to Lititz for submitting this one and gving his awesome inspiration for the build. Be sure to give it a rating via the sliders in the comments for the Bike Of The Month and Bike Of The Year charts
“Inspiration doesn’t always come from rarity. Sometimes, it comes from possibility.” ~Kyle A. Huffman (Owner Lititz BMX)
Seeing a Huffy HX Pro Cruiser featured as a “Bike of the Day” sparked something simple but powerful – the idea that a widely available, affordable bike could be more than what people assume it to be. It challenged the perception that meaningful builds have to start with elite or legacy platforms. Instead, it opened the door to a different kind of project: one grounded in accessibility, experimentation, and purpose. Not a showpiece – but something to ride, refine, and evolve.
That moment became the starting point for a build that would grow far beyond its original intent. What began as curiosity quickly turned into a hands-on process shaped by learning, connection, and history. Components were not just selected – they were considered. Some carried personal meaning, others traced back to the legacy of Harry Leary through the #operationdirtwerx campaign. The build became a bridge between modern riding and BMX heritage, between function and story.
The result is not just a modified Huffy – it is a working extension of the Lititz BMX Archive. A bike meant to be ridden, documented, and continuously improved. It reflects the idea that BMX is not defined by where you start, but by what you do with it. That inspiration – from a single featured bike – has now become part of an ongoing narrative. ~Lititz
