Schindelhauer Bikes ‘Neo’ Mini Velo Bike Is Fire!

Schindelhauer Bikes 'Neo' Mini Velo

Schindelhauer Bikes makes an eclectic group of bicycles, and they have recently added a mini velo to their lineup. It’s called the NEO and it’s a compact, agile and pretty stylish commuter bike for day-to-day travel. Its compactness comes from it’s 20in wheel size and frame build. Of course, we know it’s basically a BMX bike designed for utility and casual riding. But unlike most “mini velo’s” on the market, the NEO looks like it would be ready for some BMX action with a few minor adjustments.

The standard for space-saving innovation has been high since the Schindelhauer ThinBike in 2014. Urban environments and their demands call for practicality, which Schindelhauer reimagines more than 10 years later as a progressive 20-inch design icon.

Thanks to its smart concept, Neo fits riders from 158 to 192 cm in height, entirely without the need to choose a specific frame size. Available in three model variants – Singlespeed, Classic, and Electric – along with versatile equipment options, Neo adapts perfectly to your lifestyle without ever losing its distinct character. ~Schindelhauer Bikes

I like how the seat tube is low enough to slam the seat down to a level that’s good for BMX racing. I’m also digging the belt drive. The only thing that’ll make riding the BMX track on this bike difficult is that super long chain stay. 16+ inches really long and would make lifting the front wheel in a manual pretty hard. Unless you’re 6ft + tall. I’d love to do a review of this bike.

Geometry:

  • Top Tube: 22in
  • Headtube: 8.26in
  • Chainstay: 16.9in
  • Headtube Angle: 69
  • Standover Height: 24.7
  • Headset: Tapered
  • Seatpost Size: 30.9mm
