It’s always a good day when a Standard BMX bike gets featured as Bike Of The Day. And this build is a perfect example of that. Chuck Burnd build this bike up real nice with some great parts. Make sure you give this bike a review/rating via the comment section below and keep submitting those bikes!

I’m in my 40s, just got into BMX racing within the last couple years after wanting to forever (I raced XC MTB for years). I’ve wanted a Standard since I was a teenager, finally did it with support from my awesome wife. I went for a chromoly fork to match the frame, and I hope to have this bike last for years. I’m about 5’11”, the 21” top tube feels great for me with a 53mm stem, and the 7.5” rise bars with a nice 11 or so degree sweep feel really good to me- not a fan of taller bars. The Profile Elite/ Envy wheels sound great and are super smooth, pretty light with the folding tires. Bike is nice and stable on the 1.85” tires. 180mm cranks feel perfect for me, with common 44×16 gearing, and I went with the Japan made Shimano Saint BB. Avian pedals are my second pair, got them on sale, they grip nicely and have good sealed bearings. I like grips with some flange, and the Cult X Vans feel really good. The Box parts are great quality and help keep the weight down on a full chromoly bike- I love the 1 piece Box One seat and post, have used that on other bikes too- put it in and forget it, no seat adjustments needed (and I’m not a Pivotal fan). This is my first half link chain, the Shadow Conspiracy has been great so far. DXR brakes are easy to dial in, and the Avid lever is sweet. Now to get to the track! ~Chuck Burnd
