I Took The Huffy Primus BMX On A 12+ Mile NYC Commute

Can a Huffy BMX race bike be used as a commuter? Yes, absolutely!! And in part 2 of my review of the Huffy Primus I took it on a 12+ mile commute from Fresh Meadows Queens to Queensbridge.

Before I started my commute, I stopped in Cunningham Trails and planned to hit the Jetline but it was too damaged so I went over to the pump track. The pump track also needed some TLC but it was rideable. After that I went on a fun commute through Queens on my BMX turned Mini Velo bike lol!

I rode through all the Kissena parks, Flushing Meadow Park, Corona Queens all the way to Dutch Kills. And the Huffy Primus felt great doing it all. The long top tube and chain stay makes the bike a smooth and stable commuter.

Just because the Huffy Primus is a high end BMX race bike doesn’t mean you can’t hit the trails and go on long commutes with it.

This is the first in a series of videos I’ll be dropping from this epic ride around NYC on the Primus. Stay tuned for more drops!
