Originally from Wilmington, Delaware Raph has made Philadelphia The his place of craft. He began rapping shortly after hearing Rakim’s 'My Melody' in 1986 and was pulled into the tone of the track. He and his brother, Pa Kid started a rap group called the Sons of Sam and made underground noise with the single, “Ooohh He Got an Afro”. Since then, Xav has been crafting songs consistently releasing material. His latest project was released in 2021 under Street Symphony Records entitled, The Black Duke. in 2022 HHV Records and 90’s Tapes put out the original 1993 S.O.S. album with bonus tracks as part of the 30th anniversary of the groups first record. Raph also has a love for BMX bikes. Flatland riding, BMX racing and just riding big BMX bikes is also his thing. His movie, Swerve·Eli was shot in 2021 and played the festival circuit in 2024, winning several best short and best actor awards. You can follow him on IG and FB @therealraphaelxavier.
