A nice 2024 Standard 250L is today’s Bike Of The Day! It’s been a while since we had a trail bike in the Bike Of The Day mix. I like the translucent red color on the frame with matching red hubs. The Coca-Cola frame pad was a fun added touch and check out that seat!! Big shout out to my dude Steven Penland for submitting this one! Be sure to give it a rating via the sliders below for the Bike Of The Month and Bike Of The Year charts.
My last 250L served me well for almost 9 years and it was time to get a new one. I love the frame, so went with the exact same one I had previously except went with Trans Red for the paint and a few custom options. I wanted a threaded BB instead of a mid BB so that I can have the option to run MTB cranks. And V-brakes instead of U-brakes, because U-brakes just suck. The Industry Nine wheels I’ve had since about 2009 and were originally on my race bike back then. They have now been on my BMX DJ for the last 8 or so years and have never even needed truing. I’ll never get rid of these wheels; wish Industry Nine still made them. Everything else is just a trying to mix up a little race style with some trail style. Love my Coke Is It! frame pad; all the older crew find it funny. ~Steve Penland
