I came across this banging beat called “Creaky” by Uk producer HAPEXZM while browsing through Bandcamp. You know I had to share it here with ya’ll. I’m loving the slow tempo with the hard drums and the variety of audible treats sprinkled in. Super gritty but still has a nice musicality to it. I have this one on repeat for sure! “Creaky: is featured on HAPEXZM’s instrumental album “Slow Cooked” which is full of chill, hard, boom bap instrumentals.
The title of this second beat tape is SLOW COOKED and it was cooked slowly by hand and with care, and with no artificial ingredients. a collection of what I would describe as moody, slightly haunted and dystopian but also cartoonish beats. at times quite arty and at other times quite trashy and lofi.
could work for fans of dirty art club, dj shadow, portishead, rza, madlib, burial. listeners have also name checked gorillaz, fsol the fugees and wun two. This time I also have physical goods in the form of an (extremely) limited edition lovely slime green cassette!
