Australian bike shop BMX EDGE recently posted some photos of their new carbon BMX racing frame. The branding on the frame is HKL Racing which is the shop’s parts brand I believe. I’m not sure if that’s gonna be the actual model name.

It’s a beautiful frame with an awesome blue paint job. And I love big bold branding on frames which this bike is sporting very well. There’s also matching carbon forks for the frame which has enclosed 20mm dropouts.

But there are some clear similarities to other popular frames that are out. Most of the similarities are what make the other frames stand out from the crowd and are kind of their signature look. It’s like a Prophecy SCUD Evo 3, Marshal Blackbird and Stay Strong V5 had a baby lol. It’s actually a nice blend of the features from those bikes but also with a twist. And the end result is really nice. But there is one thing that does make it different from most frames and that’s the 21.65 inch top tube. You rarely if ever see a BMX racing frame with that size. It’s usually 21.5, 21.75. 22, etc. So I’m digging the 21.65 but I’m curious how long the chain stay is. Definitely correct me if I’m wrong on that and let me know what other BMX brands are making frames with a 21.65tt.
Edit Photo Description
There wasn’t any info posted about the geo other than the top tube size but from what I can see the rear dropout will have several axle size options. And the head tube looks to be 1.5in on the top and bottom. I’ll be looking forward to finding out more about this frame and hopefully it’ll get submitted for Bike Of The Day. Stay tuned.
This has been 3 and a 1/2 years in the making. This is dream that i had wanted for so long. And after my crash, I truly didn’t think it was ever going to come true taking 12 months away from bmx, completely selling everything just to make my dream a reality and here it is, our first prototype..
There are so many people I would love to thank for being in my corner and always supporting me to all my loyal customers. And my wonderful friends,
A massive shoot out to Cameron Small from Mac components, for doing all of my logos for the frame. Plus a massive shoot out to my mate Shaun Mccarthy for painting it. Now time to build this bad boy and get it on the track. ~BMX EDGE
