Megaciph
A fiery truth teller, mental energies gather and circulate in positive harmony, wins over any audience that loves lyricism with his unique brand of storytelling. A former U.S. Marine, Megaciph’s voice booms with authority while dancing through varying cadences and double entendres. As if leading an army into battle Megaciph steadily drops heat seeking ballistic missiles of ear-candy truth to captivate anyone within range of his inviting voice. In 2006 Megaciph migrated north from Atlanta to NY and by 2007 was fully embedded in the underground Hip-hop scene. Quickly earning the respect of fellow hip-hoppers Megaciph is a socially conscious writer, clever and avid freestyler and a social entrepreneur. He has performed at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Sullivan Hall, Bowery Poetry Club, Crash Mansion, Public Assembly, and continues to perform in NYC, and abroad. In November 2010, as the first phase of his burgeoning not for profit record label Megaciph launched The Vital Movement; a weekly open mic/concert event that provides independent artists with a viable community for sharing their art. The Vital Movement is on Wednesday nights from 8p-12a, currently at No Malice Palace 197 East 3rd Street. Megaciph’s passion and continued work in the belief that music and art can holistically improve our lives and our world, is evident in both his daily life and his writing.
