@TheBlerdGurl, 4th Annual Black Comic Book Festival

the blerdgurl,

We caught up with Karama AKA The Blerdgurl during the 4th Annual Black Comic Book Festival at the Schomburg Center. The popular sequential art, comic books, graphic novels and pop culture blogger was on the “Blerds And Bleeks Speak” panel at the event.

In this quick interview Karama talks about the hugely successful 4th Annual Black Comic Book festival and it’s importance plus she talks about the panel.

About The Blerdgurl:
“Hi I’m Karama and I’m theblerdgurl. I’m a freelance commercial film/video editor by day and comic book reading, anime watching, TV live tweeting, K-Pop listening, blog writing, geek gurl by night. I will be using this blog to shine a light on sequential art, comic books, graphic novels and pop culture with a focus on characters of color primarily created by people of color (POC).

My goal is to provide commentary and perspective from the often overlooked black nerd demographic, from a snarky female point of view. So this is theblerdgurl’s new home. Don’t worry, I’m keeping the tumblr page up, but from now on all reviews and interviews will be posted here first. I hope that you like it here and that you’ll visit (and comment) often.”
