Designer Alexander-John and PUMA linked up for a special HipHop inspired version of the Suede. These fresh kicks are called the “G-Tag”! They feature a graffiti-covered upper, red midsole, a fat white laces. Other features include blue Suede uppers, with metallic gold, white and red tags.
A stamped gold badge is featured on the tongue and a large white tag with red text hangs off the lateral eye-stays. The last cool feature is its red rubber-dipped midsole, which will distress with wear and end up revealing the classic white PUMA cup-sole.
The G-Tag Suede story is about my travels through different city’s and how the various types of graffiti that I saw inspired me to stay on my path… my train. Launching the MIA version of this design is a full circle moment for me and a piece of my history as a self-made Designer. The new Declaration of Independence is written in graffiti, a language from the streets that keeps the hope of freedom of self-expression alive. My craft, my style, my lane, were Made In America.

Alexander-John has also noted that the color palette is a representation of the blood, sweat and tears poured into his artistic journey, while the gold foil represents the resilience and the outcome of following your dreams no matter how hard things get.
