I was checking up on BMX racing brands I haven’t heard from in a while and SPAD came to mind. I was wondering what they’ve been doing and to my surprise, they’ve been doing a lot. one of those things is their entry into the carbon BMX race frame game with their VENOM frame!

The Venom gets a little inspiration from some of the other popular carbon frames in the game like the Prophecy Scud Evo 3. But the Venom does it in its own way to stand out on its own.

The integrated seat post clamp sits on the front side of the seat post inside the bug gusset style section between the top tube and seat tube. Seat stay tubing has more of a bend at the integrated dropout section. And the front end is extra beefy with a down tube that doesn’t have the bend by the head tube like a lot of carbon and aluminum frames feature. I’m liking the subtle differences. I think the frame looks solid!

At the end of the day it all boils down to the geometry(head tube angle, top tube length, chain stay length, etc). And unfortunately I couldn’t find and information on the geo from SPAD’s M2D website. If you have any geo info please leave it in the comment section below.
