We got some midschool Schwinn BMX race bike action with this 2000 Pro Stock Midi! I loved it when Schwinn was big into BMX racing, and it would be awesome if they came back for another round. America 250! This is a cool mid school Schwinn that I found on marketplace. I thought I’d go with the red white and blue America 250 theme for this one. Initially I bought this bike to cannibalize the aluminum forks for my other son‘s Schwinn Zforce. Then my other son asked for this one to be his “America “bike. We left the original survivor paint and decals, which is a preference of mine normally, good or bad it’s just how I like to restore them. Most of this bike is mid school original or restored parts except for the brake cable tube, and the seat and post. Everything else is sourced from 2000 mid school era to keep it original even the tires. This is one of the lightest bikes I’ve ever felt and it’s one of the only bikes I’ll never be able to ride due to the weight limit, but my kids are already enjoying it and it’s definitely one of my favorites now that it’s completed. I am a Schwinn enthusiast so I didn’t want to give this one up. The ram air block and the fat aluminum welds really make this bike pop. Back in 2000 this bike would’ve been a stunner for a young rider and I’m glad we were able to save it. 🏁🇺🇸 ~Joshua Chandler
