Huffy continues its epic return to BMX racing with the return of another one of their classic bikes, the Pro Lightning!! Yep! The legendary 80’s BMX race bike is making a return later this summer as a budget friendly complete. Of course it can be upgraded into high end podium making machine if you choose to do so.

Huffy team manager Nic Long posted some teaser photos on Facebook, reaching out to any track operators who are looking for a fleet of track rentals. So be on the lookout to see some Pro Lightnings at your local track.

If you’re a Track Operator and are looking for completes for your track, email me to get your orders in for the new Huffy Pro Lightning completes coming out in a couple weeks. Retail will be $399.99, but I’ll help you get the best prices for your track. ~Nl***@**********ls.com
Details about the bikes are not out yet except for the sizes (JR – EX – PRO). My dude @antdog told me Nic said that the bigger pro XL and XXL completes will be coming next year. Stay tuned for more info! But I think it’s safe to say that the frames will be 6061 T-6 aluminum tubing, euro bottom bracket, CNC’d rear dropouts, disc brakes, internal chain tensioning, maybe? We’ll see, But I’ll keep you posted when the bikes are officially released.
A little Huffy Pro Lightning History:
Most people like myself remember the Pro Thunder but yes there was a Pro Lightning. It came out after the Pro Thunder and was the Huffy team bike when it came out back in 1982.
