The New Chase Act 2.0 BMX Race Bike Is SICK!!!

About a year ago I posted some sneak peek photos of the new Act 2.0 that Chase Bicycles was working on. And just recently, Barry Nobles posted photos of his personal Act 2.0 production frame and it looks sick!

This is a Carbon Chase Act 2.0 Pro 2XL and it features and enclosed rear dropout for added stiffness. It’s looking like you can fit 20mm,15mm and 10mm through axles. The frame is disc only so no v-brake mounts. Integrated chain tensioning is used on the rear dropout to make lining and tightening your chain easier. I like how they did the integrated seat post clamp and speaking of that, this frame features Chase’s signature aero style seat tube.

The proprietary headset design really separates this carbon frame from the rest and it look sleek with the Ikon forks. It looks like the headtube is taller than the average headtube on the average BMX race bikes. Maybe 5 inches? Guess we’ll find out soon enough. The top tube and down tube has an updated v-shape for more aerodynamics and strength. Barry is also rocking his Elevn stem upside down to bring his handlebar height lower for more torque/snap out the gate…… So no more x-ups but he can still do backflips.

Most of the parts on Barry’s bike are under the BRG (BMX Racing Group) umbrella with the exception of the Shimano DXR cranks and Maxxis tires. And speaking of that, I’m curious what type of bottom bracket this frame has. There are a variety of different bottom brackets that can be found on race bikes these days. I think I’m liking the T47. Stay tuned for more info about this bike as I get it.

What are your thoughts on this bad boi!

The NEW @chasebicycles ACT 2.0 is ready to rip! I’m in love… ~Barry Nobles
